We are open for advice and treatment of dental emergencies
For the present we are covering No 8. Shannon St and No 8 Castletroy in the Cornmarket Practice in Robert St. We will advise and prescribe where possible for the over 70 cocooners who are reluctant to attend the practice.
What to do and expect ?
Call +353 61 417 566 to make an appointment . We will do our best to find a time that suits you. Tell us if you are unwell with a fever or a cough, if you are awaiting a Covid 19 test result, if any member of your family is isolating or if you are a chemo patient.
Before you leave home
- Wash your hands and use a hand sanitiser if possible
- Bring as little as possible with you
- Contactless payment methods are preferred if possible
- Bring your medical card
- Bring your list of medications
- Use the lavatory
What is an Emergency?
Pain, toothache
Dental abcess / Infection
Trauma adults and children
A sharp tooth cutting the tongue
Broken orthodontic appliances causing discomfort
Anxiety regarding a tooth or dental problem
When you arrive at the practice
Stay in the car and telephone
You will be called to the door and admitted
Your temperature will be taken with a contactless thermometer
Waiting room
Stay 2 meters away from other patients and staff
You will be offered hand sanitiser
When you are in the surgery you will be asked to rinse with a 1% solution of hypochlorite for one minute before the dentist exams you
Your safety is our priority. In line with Dental Council guidelines we are pleased to reman open to look after our patients in case of emergency at this difficult time. we would like to reassure our patients that we have the best available PPE to safely treaty and your family. We are using this time to prepare to a full Cosmetic service in the coming weeks and a full dental service shortly thereafter.
